



IDr. Paula Cañete, PIID, CBP is a licensed professional interior designer in the Philippines and an active member of the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers (PIID). During her tenure as the Executive Director for Professional Practice, she authored the Standard Booklet of Fees for Interior Designers. She also served as the Associate Editor and Gallery Design and Launch Coordinator for PIID-Cebu's First Publication, the well-received Cebu Premier Sourcebook and Directory for the Built Environment Professions, highly recognized as a comprehensive resource for Philippine Interior Designers, Contractors, Vendors, and Suppliers.

Paula had her design internship with multi-awarded Filipino industrial designer, Kenneth Cobonpue, who was declared by TIME Magazine as Rattan's First Virtuoso. This provided her with extensive exposure to natural materiality integration and innovative handmade production processes. Paula graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design with high distinction, receiving the highly coveted Golden Mean Award for Design Excellence. She was also top of her class and a Dean's Lister for all semesters. In addition, Paula has completed Design and Color Certificate Courses from Sydney, an Architectural Executive Program from Boston and has acquired her Master's Degree in Sustainable Built Environments from New York as well as a Construction Project Management Specialization thereafter. Currently, she is integrating green building consultancy to assist building developments in achieving their sustainability endeavors through LEED and BERDE (the Philippine's Green Building Tool).

As a proactive interior designer, Paula has a solid background in interior design, spatial and conceptual design, project management (interior fit-outs), sustainability integration and effective collaboration with various disciplines on designing human-focused interior spaces.
